Throckley Primary Care Nett GP Earnings
Throckley Primary Care net GP earnings
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £37,666 before Tax and National insurance. This is for one full time GP, six part time GPs and two locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Extract of Fit Note Information
The Department of Health has advised us that at the end of January they will begin extracting information on Fit Notes (formerly called Sick Notes) from patient medical records. This information will be anonymised so individuals will not be identified. The data is being collected on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions to:
- Undertake research analysis to inform policy relating to employment and sickness absence, including evaluation of the Fit for Work programme
- Help identify geographic level differences in return to work so that national and local providers can respond to provide appropriate services.
The surgery has no power to prevent this data extraction which will be retrospective to December 2014 and will continue until August 2018. Individuals may, however, opt out by completing the opt out form available under the Care Data section on this website or at reception.
To see a GP or Nurse please telephone us on (0191) 264 1014 or come into the Practice to book an appointment. You can also book an appointment and order your repeat prescriptions ONLINE at systmonline.tpp-uk.com. To register for the online service please ask for a registration form at Reception.
