Emergency SMS Service for patients who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired

By sending an SMS text message to 999, deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired people can call for help and the emergency services (police, ambulance, fire rescue, or coastguard) will be able to reply.... You need to register your mobile phone before using the emergency SMS service: 1. Send the word 'register' in an SMS message to 999 2. You will then receive SMS messages about the service 3. When you have read these SMS messages reply by sending 'yes' in an SMS message to 999 4. Same day help for your poorly child If your child has become unwell in the last few days and you would like urgent advice then please contact the surgery and we will arrange for a clinician to speak to you and if necessary to see your child, today - this could save you an unnecessary trip to A+E or a Walk-in Centre. NHS Child Health App now available

Looking after your child’s health, an NHS guide for parents and carers of children aged 0-5 years. Developed by hospital specialists, doctors, health visitors and pharmacists this app will give you lots of useful hints and tips from experts in child health from everything from oral health, upset tummies and diarrhoea to advice on bumps and bruises. This app is intended to help you know what to do, and where to go, when you are looking after an unwell child.

NHS HEALTH CHECKS (UPDATED POST) Are you aged 40-74 years of age? If so you may be eligible for a FREE NHS Health Check appointment with one of our Healthcare Assistants (please see exclusion criteria below). Please book your appointment with our Reception team..
This service is primarily a preventive one; it is NOT intended for those people who already have vascular disease e.g. people with an existing diagnosis of coronary heart disease, stroke/TIA, peripheral vascular disease, atrial fibrillation, type 2 diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease (CKD stage 3-5), hypertension or those with confirmed familial hyperlipidaemia. Patients on the Mental Health Register (who should be screened for heart disease as part of their routine review) are also excluded from the service.

Online Services – Register Today………

You can now register for Online Services with our clinical system provider SystmOne.  Please call in at Reception and pick up a new registration form.  If you are known to our Reception Team they can add you to the system by "vouching" for you.  Alternatively, you will need to provide TWO forms of ID to register for this service.  One must have photographic evidence e.g. Passport, Driving Licence and the second should confirm you live at the registered address. read more...

To see a GP or Nurse please telephone us on (0191) 264 1014 or come into the Practice to book an appointment.  You can also book an appointment and order your repeat prescriptions ONLINE at systmonline.tpp-uk.com.  To register for the online service please ask for a registration form at Reception.
